Mini Sewing Project
For this project, we had to utilize the sewing skill we learned so far to create a simple item, like an envelope clutch. I chose to make a roll-down denim lunchbox with a sequin strip.

Pattern Making Bodice Project
For this project, we studied the basics of pattern making. This included taking a sloper, turning into a pattern, and using that pattern to cut and sew a simple muslin top. We then added five manipulations to this bodice top. This project helped us start to understand the order of operations used when creating a garment.

Draping Project
For this project we learned the basics of draping - how to allow the fabric to drape around the dress form, transfer to a pattern, and use to replicate designs. We used these draping skills to create a completely original skirt.

Design Studio Final Project
For our final project, we had to create a mood and trend board with three unique design ideas. We then had to choose one to create for our final project. I chose to do the jumpsuit you see below. The first thing I did was create a prototype in muslin. After figuring out what worked and what didn't, I created my final version using all the sewing skills I learned throughout the year (seams, zippers, hems, etc.).
